FAQ Renovation Thermal bath roof

In the period from February 19^th to April 30^th 2024 the roof of the indoor thermal bath within the Fontane Therme spa will be renovated. As a result, the freshwater indoor pool as well as the sunbathing areas of the indoor thermal baths and the family sauna will be closed.

The entire sauna area including themed saunas, lake sauna, steam baths, floating pool, adventure showers, ice grotto, various relaxation areas and library, as well as the 2 outdoor brine pools, the graduation house for inhalation, the fitness area, the spa area and the bistro are not affected by the renovation and can be used without restriction.

No. The outdoor pools can be used without restriction.

During the renovation, children up to 14 years can only use our two outdoor pools on the first floor from noon to 7 pm. Please note that access to the outdoor pools for children is only possible via the bistro.

In order to protect the glazing of the spa’s interior hall, it will be covered with a film. This restricts the view into the spa interior hall from the corridors on the upper floor and the library.

Most of the work takes place on the roof, so that no noise enters the sauna area. However, on certain days, noise disturbance cannot be completely avoided. This is the case during some of the work in week 13 and 15.

In principle, work is only expected from Monday to Friday (8am to 4.30 pm). No work is expected at weekends or on public holidays. Should construction delays lead to extended working hours, we will communicate this immediately.

The renovation work will last until 30th April 2024.

The walkways in the indoor thermal bath are partially closed, so the outdoor pools are accessible via the sauna area on the upper floor or the bistro.

For overnight stays in the period from February 19th to April 30th 2024 our guests will receive a consumption voucher of € 10.00 per person and night*, which will be credited directly on departure.

*This voucher does not apply to special rates or price agreements that do not include the use of the thermal spa.

Bookings which affect to the restructuring period and were made before January 18th, 2024 can be rebooked/postponed free of charge or canceled free of charge until February 1st, 2024. Rebookings are possible for the travel period until September 30th, 2024.

There will be no aqua courses during the renovation period. As a healthy alternative, we are offering a joint-friendly gymnastic course at the usual times in the course room.
